Warranty Policy

DTC-TOOL warrants that its hardware products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by DTC-TOOL.

Covered hardware products may include, but are not limited to: DTC-TOOL Link diagnostic devices, DTC-TOOL Link Display units, DTC-TOOL NOx Sensor Tester, and approved DTC-TOOL-branded adapters and cables.

During the warranty period, DTC-TOOL may, at its sole discretion, repair the defective product, replace the defective product with a new or refurbished product, provide replacement parts or accessories, or issue a comparable replacement product if the original product is discontinued.

This warranty does not cover damages or failures caused by improper installation or misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, physical abuse, accidents, exposure to water or excessive heat, power surges, incorrect voltage, cosmetic wear and tear, or the use of third-party accessories not supplied by DTC-TOOL.

Unless otherwise specified in writing, software, firmware, mobile applications, and subscription-based services are provided “as-is.” DTC-TOOL does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free software operation.

To submit a warranty claim, customers must contact DTC-TOOL prior to returning any product. Customers may be required to provide proof of purchase, serial number information, and a description of the issue. Remote troubleshooting may be required before warranty approval.

Unless otherwise approved in writing, customers are responsible for shipping products to DTC-TOOL for warranty evaluation. DTC-TOOL will cover return shipping for approved warranty repairs or replacements within the continental United States.

This warranty will be considered void if product labels or serial numbers are removed or altered, the product has been disassembled or modified without authorization, or damage is determined to be caused by misuse, abuse, or improper application.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DTC-TOOL shall not be liable for downtime, loss of revenue or profits, towing expenses, vehicle repairs, diagnostic labor charges, or consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
